Sean Pena
Miami, Florida
24 years old
Sean is a
Miami native who captured my
interest through Diego.
He is another individual
who I believe strives to
make everyone around him
feel safe and welcomed. As
in the picture, he’s an
animal lover and a helper
at heart. Being his
friend has added a light
to my life and has also
taught me to always look
at the brighter things
in life, no matter the
circumstance.
Below is his response -
“I always felt like some things happened for a reason. The universe tells us we
have to do certain things like with covid for example I think that it sucked
because it impacted a lot of people on a negative way but at the same time there
was a lot of good. The environment kind of learned to heal itself in a way and it
just kind of makes me see the brighter side of things. I’m not really thinking of
all the negatives and I think it brought a lot of good in people too, people tried
to get with their family more and that’s what I did too. Before I wasn’t really
a family person, I wouldn’t call my grandparents as much or distant family, you
know? And I always felt really bad about it but covid changed my perspective on
things.
To be honest, I’ve always sort of been like a hermit so it hasn’t really changed
me much but I’m just thankful for the situation that I am in now because
thankfully the schools that understood the gravity of the situation, they changed
all to online so I was able to be in the safety of being home then going out in
public. It kept me safe you know? A lot of the things that did happen were I had
like 4 maybe 5 different jobs this year which is really crazy because that’s the
most jobs I’ve ever had in a year.
